ping - Send ICMP packets to network hosts

Ping uses the ICMP protocol’s mandatory ECHO_REQUEST datagram to elicit an ICMP ECHO_RESPONSE from a host or gateway. Use this command to check the network connectivity and name resolution by CacheGuard.
